You wouldn't be able to since life is a prefix and you can only have 3 per item. This is important because say your item has 3 prefixes already but you wanted to craft on life. Some affixes like +#% to lightning resistance are suffixes. Some affixes like +# to maximum life are prefixes. Except you can only have 3 of each (6 total per item). All other minions will receive a unique type of equipment for their respective tribes such as 3 mounted blades, skulls, and earrings for greens, a leather gauntlet and various pieces of armour for reds, and bone armour with potions for blues), doing so increases their power. Suffixes and Prefixes are both just affixes. Just keep playing and it will come to you.Įdit: Also forgot to mention about suffixes and prefixes. I haven't been able to craft anything outside of jewels to sell. I played on and off for about 2 years, then started taking the game more seriously starting with Bestiary. It can also be incredibly expensive to make good items. Usually people start with an item that dropped with some good affixes already, then they add more to it. You might not always get the affixes that you want.
The thing about crafting is that it can be very random and RNG dependent. If you plan to invest a bunch of money to craft an item, you probably want to have the best base to start. Or another example is some weapons have more damage than others. A ranger usually doesn't care about a helmet with a lot of armor, they want one with a lot of evasion, but you don't want a helmet with only a little bit of evasion, you want a helmet with a lot of evasion.
